Iwaki magnetic drive pumps

Magnetic drive pumps

An extensive lineup with excellent perfomance

Iwaki's magnetic drive process pumps are engineered to perform reliably even under challenging operating conditions. The precise arrangement of high-power rare earth magnets, coupled with well-dimensioned compensating areas, significantly reduces the wear on the contact surfaces of the impeller unit in both the front and rear pump areas. This design makes the pump highly wear-resistant and almost maintenance-free. Additionally, this approach prevents damage or deformation of the wet plastic parts due to high frictional heat.

Magnetic drive centrifugal pumps in plastic

Magnetic drive centrifugal pumps crafted from plastic are ideally suited for handling hazardous and toxic media. The plastic split case ensures a hermetic seal, effectively isolating the product chamber from the environment. Unlike metal split cases, the plastic design eliminates the induction of eddy currents by the magnetic field, which can otherwise reduce pump efficiency and cause the transported medium to heat up.

Applications and Benefits
Thanks to their robust and low-wear design, Iwaki's magnet-driven process pumps provide an efficient and reliable solution for safely handling hazardous and toxic media in a wide range of demanding industrial applications.Used across a wide range of industrial sectors, including demanding applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Key benefits include:
  • Hermetic sealing: The plastic encapsulation ensures a tight seal, preventing leaks and environmental contamination.
  • No eddy currents: The design avoids eddy currents, maintaining efficiency and preventing medium heating.
  • High magnetic power: Utilises powerful rare earth magnets for superior performance.
  • Wear resistance: Minimises wear on impeller unit contact surfaces, enhancing durability.
  • Low maintenance: Designed to be almost maintenance-free, reducing operational costs.
  • Versatile applications: Suitable for various industrial uses, including harsh chemical and pharmaceutical environments.
